Plant Health/Troubleshooting

Maintaining Healthy Roots

Maintaining healthy roots is very important once you plant your plant. Sticking to a watering routine is vital as all plants have specific needs when it comes to water and nutrients. Some plants will need very regular watering(e.g rainforest plants) while others can get by with hardly any water(e.g cacti).  If the plants are in water, maybe you also need to take out the flower and clean the pot and roots.

When To use Fertilizer

You might want to use fertilizer if you’re an impatient gardener. All plants need three basic nutrients; nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. The proportions of these vary depending on the potting mix. It is important to buy the right potting mix for your plants if you want to give your plant the best chance at life.

Selecting a pot for your plant

If you need to find a plant and wonder which pot it goes into, well, on this website you’ll figure out how to find the correct pot for your plant. for example, let’s use monstera. What do you think is the monstera’s pot? Mmm… if you see the monstera and it’s really big and the roots are going everywhere, it means you need a bigger pot.  Maybe you should choose ceramic for the pot because monstera’s might break the plastic pots. The only plants that go in the plastic pot might be the small ones like saplings and if are planting carrots maybe you should use multiple pots.
